I started a photo series called “Beauty in the Beast“, about finding beauty in small things in the ugly country jungle if the city. As I live/ work in Lower Manhattan it’s focused on that are. Here are some photos of the series:

Trans rights too. Trans people get abortions and need as much protection, access and free abortions.
Imagine the nightmare of finally affirming your gender as male, transman or any other way you identify yourself, due to the mistake of landing on earth in a female XX chromosome body. Then you get pregnant somehow, wherever you are or want to be in your process of affirming your gender. It’s bad enough to be cisfemale and need access to abortion. It’s a whole new level of evil to be non binary, trans, etc. and need an abortion. The pregnancy is a violation of your very essence, of affirming who you are which in this gender constructed world, matters. In some other evolved countries, you can have a safe, free abortion; very-even extreme religious countries.
Imagine cismen were the ones getting pregnant. There would be abortion machines at your local post office; go inside and it gives you a quick free abortion. Or ten other easy ways if you need secrecy. There would be as many abortion clinics as gas stations; it would take the time to fill your care with free gas to get your quick safe abortion.
As a kid I had a weird disgust of pregnancy, sending around me that women with children seemed somehow handcuffed. I was only 7 or 8 but I knew my mom was a lawyer before she had my brother. Now she didn’t have a briefcase. She had a 24 hour job paid for in weird ways. I didn’t understand salaries and I didn’t want to go to school or have a career or job. In third grade Sabrina Stone and I decided we wanted to run away and go to the Ringling Brothers Clown School. It seemed the best option to get out of regular boring school, boring jobs, or worst of all, staying home with kids figuring out dinner.
We obviously weren’t ambitious enough- there was no internet to help us enroll or realized we’d need to wait a bit and then get fake ids or something. Back then in the 70s you wished for things you didn’t get. Like some teacher helping you accept that life was working unless you were lucky enough to find a job but if you didn’t want to be a doctor all the other ones seemed to pay very little. All I knew was I got home from first day of nursery school-preK now, I told my mom I hate school I’m done. Then came the horrible life sentence. You have to go to school for like 13 more years or work as a cashier at Lamston’s five and dime. I thought there was a Lamston’s on Lexington Ave but it must have been Woolworth’s. I can’t remember if my 4 year old self wanted to work as a cashier or just knew I was stuck because little kids couldn’t reach the very cool machine cashiers use. The noise and clacking made sense and sounded like money. Anyway I returned to school and suffered through a very privileged 14 years.
I didn’t know anything about trans and non binary people back then but it would have made sense and been quite a relief as being a “woman” seemed shitty but men didn’t seem interesting except my older brother.
And I knew what a prostitute was way long before I knew about abortions but I probably would have been interested in the idea that you could refuse to become a mother even if you were pregnant.
I tried posting these on Facebook but nobody reads them.
I am so mad and sad about the Supreme Court decision I’m depressed and feel so outraged I can’t engage. Human beings are disgusting and deserve to be wiped out. We’re killing the planet and it’s 2022 and women are second class citizens in a country where democracy is a joke. Prisons are full of free laborers a new form of slavery. Anyone can walk into a place and use a n AR-15-style assault rifle and other gun to kill whatever humans are doing in that place, things you do to live.
Grocery store
Religious worship places
Schools
Etc.
I found these little bits of info and tried posting them on Facebook.
We all know the situation and future bad predictions related to it being bad.
I wanted to know some other countries’ handling of abortion from decriminalizing it. I don’t think it’s ever a crime.Getting a very late stage abortion is something else and has to be looked at under the circumstances and addressed from an almost mother perspective. MOST abortions are not done that late. in CANADA only the woman gets to control her body and what the Jews refer to s “fluid”. It’s a part of a women’s body that she wants to keep in her body or get it removed from her body.
🤔
In Cuba people In spite of criticism from the conservative religious sector, the law was reformed in 1965 to say that it is the woman who decides, abortion needs to take place at a hospital carried out by expert staff and it needs to be totally free. Then in 1987, when Fidel took power, the Penal Code, which is still in force, established that abortion is only a crime when it is done for profit, outside of health institutions, by non-medical staff or against a woman’s will. Wow.
Look who gets arrested and how it protects women.
Wow it’s always Canada, again the country in the world that protects women and gives everyone free healthcare!
Canada stands out as the only country to date that, through a Supreme Court decision in 1988, effectively decriminalized abortion altogether. No other country, no matter how liberal its law reform, has been willing to take abortion completely out of the law that delimits it.
Italian women are eligible to request an abortion for health, economic or social reasons, including the circumstances under which conception occurred. Abortions are performed free of charge in public hospitals or in private structures authorized by the regional health authorities.
oh so in some places it’s mot free/
Doesn’t the Pope live here?

Why is there no mention of the other half of an abortion- the XY chromosome carrying person responsible for half of each pregnancy?
I have heard nothing said of the sperm bearer on the news or in any laws. Why do the men get away with impregnating as many women as they want and never have to face any legal consequences? How disgusting is it they can they ruin the lives of 100s to 1000s of females in one year and get away with it?
The person who in many cases was responsible for the pregnancy due to lying about birth control. If the woman is subject to their state’s limitations etc. around abortion, the state must find the other responsible individual the spermicide carrier and enforce child support for the unwanted pregnancy and must pay half of the pregnancy budget (extra food, safe sleeping are for said eventual child) as well as all lactation expenses and clothes and education for the next 19 years. If they can’t find the sperm person the state needs to pay, as they are enforcing this law they now have permission to play around with.
Will this be illegal?
Embryo adoption allows you to experience pregnancy and the birth of a child

Yesterday was International Yoga Day! I’ve been practicing 5-7 x / week since around August 2014… Since the pander, I’ve been lucky to take a weekly yoga class from my yoga Yodha and friend, Liza Toft: http://lizatoft.com/about-liza-toft/

Here’s a line I woke up with:
Time marches on. It doesn’t care if you comewith it. Or not.
I keep meaning to post here. It’s 8:31 and quiet so here is some recent art and art in progress. Some of the small drawings are daily drawings. I’m still keeping up with it so far. With two other photos thrown in.

Unfortunately my scanner isn’t working and these photos are sometimes off with the colors.

I posted this on Facebook. On TV a dad mourning his kid’s death was asked how he was so calm and he said he had to be strong and keep it together for his family. I just wish our culture would stop with the strength being the stoic non emotional guy and guys needing to protecting their partners and kids to avoid “falling apart” and mothers who are being “emotional” and therefore weak continues the stigma of being emotional seen as a weakness in men. What about him crying with his wife and kids and modeling that it’s ok to be sad and being emotional after a loss is not a weakness but a strength. Be sad and hold each other. There’s nothing to protect except your humanness and giving up the macho stereotype. If he’d said he was calm because he was in shock that would have been totally human too. Being sad and angry etc doesn’t make you a weak person and kids need to see their dad’s cry sometimes especially when it’s a huge loss.
That was the post. I also recentlye academy reflected on the weird moment at that Will Smith assaulted Chris Rock after Rock made a joke about his wife. Some of the immediate responses were disgusting, especially the idea that he was protecting his wife’s honor and demanding Rock respect his wife. Now he’s apologized etc. but some were spouting that sexist idea that it was understandable for this famous actor to go up stage and assault Rock, as though women need this kind of protection and impulsively assaulting someone for your wife is admirable. Obviously most people didn’t condone his actions. Most of all Jada was the one who could have stood up and said calmly you need to stop this now. I find it offensive. Then Rock could have apologized and modeled especially to kids the right way to do things if you feel insulted in that context.
Obviously if someone is physically bullying you at school hitting the person back in self defense might be the right action for any genders.
We know how sexist this country has continued to be and maybe worse- the prospect of Roe v Wade being overturned is so close to The a Handmaid’s Tale, it’s scary.
I haven’t been doing enough art and it’s depressing. I spend more time on word searches. At least I’m not on my phone.
I saw American Psycho today w/my kid. She likes it a lot. It’s very fascinating.
Anyway my Saturday and Sunday 15ish minute drawings, photos taken in shorty light:

How do you write a book using TikTok. Obviously I don’t know since I’ve never done it b fore. There are more ground rules/guidelines than this. It’s just a start…
